After Sarah walked in the house,she had a look of surprise and awe on her face. "Woah." I laughed at her remark.I admit,the house was pretty big.It was like your ordinary abandoned house.It was old,the wood was rotten or worn out.I'm surprised this place didn't collapse on itself.Maybe that's why people didn't do anything to it the past several years.Maybe they were waiting for the day for it to collapse.If I were them,I would have taken it down as soon as it was officially called 'abandoned'.I looked behind me as Zim spoke. "Are you sure no one lives here?" I rolled my eyes at him.Of course no one lived here. "Why would anyone live here?It's old and run down." "Do you see the inside?" He should be able to answer that question for himself.Jess and him were standing at the doorway,while me and Sarah were already in the house.But considering I didn't really want to start an argument,I just played along. "It's too dark.We need a flashlight." "Maybe the lights still work." I snapped my head over to where I heard Sarah's voice.I could barely see her moving her hands on the walls,trying to find a light switch.Before she could even come close to finding one,Zim had already pulled a flashlight out of his PAK. "Like this Dib-worm?" Knowing that I could see him outside the house,I glared at him. "....Yes." He must've not seen me glare,because he didn't glare back or make fun of me. "Little Dib-worm scared?" Up until now at least.....I glared back at him with pure hatred. "Shut your face."
Zim's POV
We entered the house and the inside,from what I could see,was amazing. Sarah suddenly went, "Whoa!"
"Are you sure no one lives here?" I asked
"Why would anyone here? It's old and run down." answered Dib-stink following Sarah
"Do you see the inside?" I spat
"It's too dark.We need a flashlight."
"Maybe the lights still work!" Sarah said and she started to feel around for the light switch.
I smirked and opened my PAK and pulled out a flashlight.
"Like this one Dib-worm?" I asked teasing him.
He didn't answer right away.I think he was hoping to leave.
"Yes." he finally said.
The house seemed to move and Dib looked worried.
"Little Dib-worm scared?" I said.
"Shut your face!" he yelled back
"Hey!" yelled Jess.
"Do you have any more flashlights Zim?"
I nodded and gave everyone one flashlight. Sarah quickly ran off to a bookshelf and she was really happy.
"What is it Jess?" I asked.I was worried about her.
"Nothing." was all she said.
We entered the house and the inside,from what I could see,was amazing. Sarah suddenly went, "Whoa!"

"Nothing." was all she said.
Jess's POV
Zim and me watched as Dib and Sarah walked into the house.It was too dark to see inside it.I looked over at Zim,who was trying to see inside the house himself.He looked so cute in the night.He always managed to mesmerize me with his charm.I just feel like giving in to him,not worrying about anything else....I think I may lo- "It's too dark.We need a flashlight." I shook my head and looked down,upset with having my daydreams interrupted.I looked back at Zim,just in time to see him pull a flashlight out of his PAK.I always wondered what an Irken can carry in those.I know they're a life support,but up until I saw Zim take the flashlight out of it,I never knew they could be a backpack as well. "Like this Dib-worm?" "....Yes." "Little Dib-worm scared?" I silently laughed to myself.That was pretty funny to make fun of Dib's nonexistent bravery.I frowned immediately when I heard Dib's response. "Shut your face." I hate to see Zim get insulted at.I had to growl at him.I had to give my best warning that I'll hurt him if he says anything like that again. "Hey!" I couldn't see it,but I knew Dib had rolled his eyes.He's really starting to get on my nerves.
Sarah's POV
After Zim gave us the flashlights,I saw a bookshelf and I ran over to it.looking over all the books.
"You do like to read a lot don't you?" asked Dib.
I held back a sigh,so that all he knew about...
"Book-worm."
I nodded then I saw something that shouldn't be there.
"Wait... that can't be?" I said.
At the time,I didn't know,but we were being watched.
"What is it?" asked Dib.
I heard Zim asking Jess if she was okay. It hurt to know that an evil alien could see her like that when no one saw me.Just for once I wish someone would make me feel special.
After Zim gave us the flashlights,I saw a bookshelf and I ran over to it.looking over all the books.
"You do like to read a lot don't you?" asked Dib.

Dib's POV
I hate Zim so much.He tries to sound smart just to impress Jess,and it's probably working.She's so gullible,she'll practically believe anything.I looked over at Sarah as she looked back at Zim. "Do you have more flashlights Zim?" He most likely did.Who knows what he had in his PAK.Zim nodded and pulled out three more flashlights.As Sarah walked over to Zim to get her flashlight,Zim and Jess started to walk in the house,with Jess hiding behind him.I followed Sarah as she made her way over to a bookshelf that was filled with different types of books.Large ones,small ones,some with and without covers.Whoever lived in this house must have loved to read.I walked up beside Sarah as she shined her flashlight over each book,reading the titles on the covers on the ones that had a cover. "You like to read a lot,don't you?" I've seen her read several books.Almost every time I saw her,she was reading a book.She practically wouldn't be caught dead without one.She nodded her head,not taking her eyes off of the shelf. "Book worm.Wait...that can't be...?" I was curious as to what she found.My guess is that it was a book she had been wanting to read or one from her past.I was wrong on both.
As Sarah and Dib look at the bookshelf and Zim and Jess stand near the doorway of the house,two shadows hang onto the ceiling.Neither the four of them are aware of the shadow's presence.The two shadows discuss their plan and tell each other how brave,smart,and cunning the group is.
Zim's POV
Sarah and Dib-worm were talking about books. I looked at Jess.
"Should we look around?" I asked.
"I don't know Zim This place creeps me out"
Sarah and Dib were talking about a scroll and crap like that.
"I will keep you safe."
She smiled
"I love it when you smile." I said,which was true.
She blushed and just like that,all hell broke lose.Something attacked all of us!
"What the!?" Sarah yelled.
Dib quickly looked back.
"What the heck?!" he yelled.
I was confused.
Then there was a voice in the dark.
"After you my friend."
Suddenly Sarah and Dib screamed and passed out, I had to get Jess out. But right then.I was attacked and so was my Jess!
"Ahhh!!" she yelled and fell to the ground.
Before I passed,out I heard the figure say.
"Get them in the basement.They will safer there"
Sarah moaned
"What the Irk?!" I said before passing out.
That was the last thing I remember,hoping Jess was okay.
Sarah and Dib-worm were talking about books. I looked at Jess.

Jess's POV
I wanted to leave this place.It was too scary for me to handle.I wanted to run out of here,but I couldn't.Something in this house kept me here,but I didn't know what it was. "Should we look around?" I looked over at Zim and gave him a scared look. "I don't know Zim.This place creeps me out." I wanted to leave this place and never come back.I was so scared.At least,before that moment I was. "I'll keep you safe." My eyes grew wide.Zim...cared about me?All of my fear was gone.I knew I could trust him completely now.I felt like crying tears of joy at that moment,but I didn't want to make myself seem like a crybaby.I smiled and looked at him.I never felt so happy around him before.
Dib's POV
I wonder what Sarah had found that interesting. "What is it?" After I said that,she set her flashlight on the bookshelf and pulled out some kind of scroll.After unrolling it,she gasped. "Dib,this scroll is from the Library of Alexandria.This shouldn't be here!" I've heard about the scroll in the Library of Alexandria in history class.It was boring,but I had nothing else to do. "Maybe someone stole them and hid them here since nobody would really look here?" I didn't really know anything about it.I just know that it was a very important scroll and it's really famous. "No Dib.I mean this shouldn't be here AT ALL.This scroll was said to have been burned." Ok.I payed attention in history class,but I didn't pay that much attention.I can see why she was surprised that she found it.If a scroll was said to have been burned over 100 years ago,then it really must be a good and rare find. "Oh."
As the group looks around the house,the shadows are now about to carry out their plan.All of a sudden,one of them swooped down and shut the front doors and locked them,causing the group to look back.Both shadows fly towards them and attack.
As Sarah started to read the scroll,the doors had shut and locked themselves.Well all turned around,hearing Sarah and Zim cry out in surprise. "What the?!" "Huh?!" I too cried out myself. "What the heck?!" None of this was expected,nor was it even supposed to happen.All of a sudden,something came down and attacked me and Sarah,biting us in the neck.I screamed out in pain.I barely had enough time to look at Sarah,my eye sight was already going blurry and I could barely make out her form as she fell onto the ground,now unconscious.I had to get her to safety.I won't let her get hurt!I tried to move,but my body was already aching.Soon I fell to the ground,my eyes getting heavier by the second.Soon after,I couldn't hold my eyes open any longer.My heart started to slow down.I knew I was going to die.We all were.I wanted to protect Sarah from everything that is evil and I failed her.I tried to speak,but my heart stopped even before I could...
Sarah's POV
I pulled out the scroll.
"Dib, this scroll is from the Library of Alexandria.This shouldn't be here!"
Again I heard Zim being so sweet to Jess, it hurt.
"Maybe someone stole them and hid them here since nobody would look here?" Dib said.
"I'll keep you safe." said Zim to Jess.
"No Dib." I realized I was being mean.
"I mean this shouldn't be here at all. This scroll was said to have burned."
"Oh." he said.
I think I was ready to leave and cry myself to sleep.
The door slammed and it sounded like it locked.
"What the!" I yelled.
Dib quickly looked back.
"What the heck?!" he yelled.

I blushed as Zim complimented me after promising to keep me safe. "I love it when you smile." I smiled more,he made me the happiest person alive.Then the doors shut and locked themselves.We all called out in surprise.I started to back up as I saw something attack Dib and Sarah.Soon they fell over,not moving.Then Zim and me were attacked.We were bitten in the neck.My brain was too slow to process everything that was happening.It happened so quickly.I screamed out in pain and I fell onto the floor,my neck hurting like crazy.I looked over at Zim just in time to hear him shout, "What the Irk?!" Shortly after,he fell over,not moving.We were both dying at a rapid rate.My heart started to slow down more and more by each beat.Soon,my heart stopped beating,and my eyes closed.The last thing I saw was Zim's body laying lifelessly on the floor.I hoped Zim and my friends were going to be alright.
